St. Francis Herb Farm Elderberry Cough Syrup for Kids features a blend of fresh elderberry, echinacea, marshmallow, thyme, catnip, anise, and wild cherry, combined with honey and essential oils.

This syrup is designed to provide a soothing effect on the throat with ingredients like marshmallow root, which supports mucous membrane comfort. The formula includes echinacea and elderberry, known for their traditional use in herbal preparations.

The syrup offers a pleasant taste and is free from gluten, making it accessible for children aged two years and above. It is intended for use as a natural herbal supplement to support general wellness.
Each tsp (5ml) contains:
- Wild Cherry (Prunus serotina, bark) (1:2, QCE 333 mg) 0.666 ml
- Marshmallow (Althaea officinalis, root) (1:1.85 fresh, QCE 270 mg or 1:4 dry, QCE 125 mg) 0.5 ml
- Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea, herb top and root) (1:1, QCE 300 mg) 0.3 ml
- Elderberry (Sambucus nigra subsp. canadensis or Sambucus nigra subsp. nigra – berry juice concentrate) (4.22:1, QCE 844 mg) 0.2 ml
- Catnip (Nepeta cataria, herb top) (1:4, QCE 50 mg) 0.2 ml
- Anise (Pimpinella anisum, seed) (1:4, QCE 50 mg) 0.2 ml
- Thyme (Thymus vulgaris, leaf) (1:4, QCE 50 mg) 0.2 ml
Non-Medicinal ingredients:
- Honey
- Distilled water
- Certified Organic alcohol
- Certified Organic Vegetable glycerine
- Lemon peel essential oil (Citrus limon)
- Cinnamon bark essential oil (Cinnamomum verum)
Important information:
- Consult a health care practitioner before use if breastfeeding, if you have an autoimmune disorder or are taking immunosuppressants, or if you have a progressive systemic disease such as tuberculosis, collagenosis, multiple sclerosis, AIDS and/or HIV infection.
- Consult a health care practitioner if cough worsens, persists for more than 7 days, or is accompanied by a high fever.
- Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if symptoms reoccur or are accompanied by a fever, rash, or persistent headache.
- Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen or persist.
- Do not use if pregnant or allergic to plants of the Apiaceae family.
Suggested use:
Children (2-4 years): 1 tsp (5 ml.)
Children (5-9 years): 1.5 tsp (7.5 ml or ½ tbsp.)
Children and adolescents (10 - 13 years): 3 tsp (15 ml or 1 tbsp.)
All doses should be taken 3 times daily a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products.
